Rotherham have cancelled the remaining year on Guy Easterby’s contract to allow the Irish scrum-half to sign for Leinster.

Easterby has international ambitions and believes a switch to the provincial side will enhance his chances of linking-up with the Triple Crown winners.

Titans manager Jim Kilfoyle said: “We are very disappointed not to have Guy remain with us as he was an outstanding player and leader last season.

“However it would be better for his international career if he was to play for one of the provinces.

“He had another season on his contract to run, but we took the player’s interests to be paramount.”
