Tigers sign scrum-half Bernand

Leicester have signed scrum-half Scott Bemand from Harlequins.

The 25-year-old will bolster Tigers’ half-back resources ahead of next season, especially with the loss of Tom Tierney to Connacht today.

Tigers head coach John Wells said: “Obviously with losing Tom Tierney we didn’t have a third scrum-half and, as we found out last season, you need three quality number nines and we think Scott is one of those guys.”
