Legal threat delays promotion decision

Worcester’s bid to join the Zurich Premiership in England has hit a snag after the Rugby Football Union delayed a decision on whether they were eligible for promotion due to a threat of legal action.

The runaway winners of National League one – they won all 26 matches – have put in place plans to increase their ground capacity from 6,000 to 8,200 to meet Premiership regulations.
