England duo back for Quins

England World Cup pair Will Greenwood and Jason Leonard both return to the Harlequins team for Saturday’s Zurich Premiership wild card play-off clash against Leicester at Welford Road.

Centre Greenwood, who missed last weekend’s narrow defeat at Northampton because of a shoulder injury, replaces Chris Bell.

Veteran prop Leonard, meanwhile, has recovered from a foot problem and packs down in what could be his penultimate club game before retirement.

Quins boss Mark Evans has made six other changes from the Northampton game, with fly-half Paul Burke fit again following a groin injury to reclaim his place from Andy Dunne, with Scott Bemand replacing scrum-half Simon Keogh.

Hooker Tani Fuga has completed a three-week suspension, so he is recalled in a pack that also features call-ups for prop Mike Worsley, lock Simon Miall and number eight Tony Diprose.

“There was some speculation that we would rest a number of players this Saturday ahead of the Parker Pen Challenge Cup final,” said Evans.

“Had we done so, it would have gone against everything this squad and the club are about.

“The Zurich wild card offers another opportunity of qualifying for the Heineken Cup next season, and so it is a very important competition to us.”

Gloucester entertain Sale Sharks in Saturday’s other semi-final, with the final being played at Twickenham on May 29.
