Connacht delay naming team

The Connacht team to play Narbonne in the second leg of their Parker Pen Challenge Cup quarter-final at the Sportsground on Saturday (2pm) will be announced on Wednesday.

Connacht are waiting to see how a number of players recover from Saturday's bruising encounter in Narbonne when Connacht scored a 27-18 victory.

Prop Dan McFarland, scrum-half Mike Walls, centre Darren Yapp and flanker Michael Swift are among a number of players nursing injuries from the encounter.

Flanker Paul Neville, injured earlier this month in the Celtic League against Munster, is one of a number of players coming back from injury who will be in contention for selection.

Meanwhile, tickets for Saturday's big game are selling very well and a large crowd is expected at the Sportsground where, once again, children will be admitted free and there will be a host of activities laid on for them.

Tickets for the game on Saturday are available from the Connacht Branch office (091-561568).
