New Zealand hold a narrow lead mid-way through the first half of today's third/fourth place play-off in Sydney.

The All Blacks started well and were rewarded with a Chris Jack try on 13 minutes, converted by Leon McDonald.

France replied with a Dimitri Yachvili penalty three minutes later.
