Leinster to play European Cup games at Lansdowne

It has been confirmed that the Leinster Lions will play their three home games in Pool C of the European Cup at Lansdowne Road.

In a statement issued today, the ERC said: "The ERC Board have confirmed that Leinster Lions can, for season 2003 / 2004, play their Heineken Cup Pool 3 home matches, against Biarritz Olympique, Sale Sharks and Cardiff Blues, at Lansdowne Road.

"ERC responded enthusiastically to the proactive move by Leinster Lions and their desire to promote the stature of the tournament."

This all follows the Leinster Branch's successful marketing of the European Cup quarter-final and semi-final at headquarters earlier this year.
