Leinster slump to second defeat
Celtic Warriors 29, Leinster 22
Gary Ella’s side slumped to their second successive Celtic League defeat, at Sardis Road as an injury-time try from Warriors’ wing Gareth Wyatt scored a crucial win for the Celtic Warriors.
In what was a poor contest, dominated by referee Iain Ramage’s whistle, substitute hooker Mefin Davies gave the home side the lead midway through the second half with a try.
A second try in two games for Barnhall winger Brendan Burke, had put Leinster, captained by lock Leo Cullen, in the ascendancy as the second half began.
With no obvious pattern to the game, the boots of former Welsh great Neil Jenkins and Leinster scrum-half Brian O’Meara decided matters, with Jenkins stroking over 16 of his side’s points, with O’Meara replying with five penalties and a conversion.
