Wales U21 awarded victory on appeal
Wales have been awarded fifth place in the recent International Rugby Board Under-21 World Cup after France were found guilty of failing to provide suitably experienced cover following injuries to two front-row players during their victory over the Welsh.
Match referee Antonio Lombardi of Italy was forced to declare uncontested scrums during the game
But the tournament disputes committee have subsequently decided that the result of the match should be overturned and victory awarded to Wales, with France now in sixth place.
