Clive Woodward has no intention of repeating the tactical error which ruined England’s chances of a World Cup win 12 years ago when his side face Australia this weekend.

On the eve of the 1991 World Cup final against Australia England decided to abandon their traditional style to try and match the Wallabies’ expansive game. It proved to be a big mistake and Australia won 12-6.
