The Barbarians have named a strong line-up from their star-studded squad for the opening match of their Lloyds TSB tour against England at Twickenham on Sunday.
Able to draw from talent across the globe, former Stormers coach Alan Solomons can boast a total of more than 1000 caps in his chosen party.
And he has opted to include several southern hemisphere internationals in his team alongside the cream of European rugby talent for the Twickenham match.
South African Percy Montgomery and fellow countryman AJ Venter will start, Fijian Aisea Tuilevu is handed his first Barbarians’ cap along with Matt Sexton of Ulster, who has yet to make a full international appearance.
Experienced Frenchmen Christian Califano and Thomas Castaignede will get the chance to renew some acquaintances against the RBS Six Nations champions, as will Ireland’s David Humphreys – another new Baa-baa.
New Zealand’s Taine Randall will captain the team, which includes Argentinian scrum-half Agustin Pichot, who looks set to leave relegated Bristol along with club-mates Daryl Gibson and Felipe Contepomi, both of whom are named among the replacements.
Fly-half Contepomi, an international colleague of Pichot’s, has joined Leinster while All Blacks centre Gibson will be donning the Leicester Tigers colours next season.
The Baa-baas will take on Clive Woodward’s World Cup hopefuls before heading north to tackle Scotland at Murrayfield on May 28 and ending their tour at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff where they will face Wales on May 31.
