DLSP, having beaten Trinity on Monday night to reach the Leinster Senior Cup Semi-Final, travel to Limerick on Saturday to face Crescent in the semi-final of AIL Division 2.

It is ironic that they face Crescent in such an important match as the earlier league match marked a turn-around in their fortunes.

At that stage they had lost 3 league games and were bottom of the table with no points. Crescent were top of the table with maximum points.

It was new coach Joe Parkes first league match in charge but DLSP responded with a brilliant 31 - 20 win over Crescent scoring 4 tries in the process.

In advance of Saturday's game Joe Parkes said: "I'm delighted that the team has the opportunity to play in an AIL Semi-Final and I'm looking forward to playing such an important match in Limerick.

"This will be a very tough match for both sides. The league is over ; bonus points, draws, etc will be irrelevant on Saturday. It is a one-off match and the team who wants it the most will win it."
