Campbell is new Glasgow coach

Glasgow Warriors have appointed Hugh Campbell as their new head coach with Sean Lineen as his assistant.

Glasgow Hawks head coach Shade Munro has also been recruited as a part-time development coach.

Campbell, 51, was formerly a prop at Jordanhill in his playing days and played for and coached Glasgow District in the amateur era.

He said: “I don’t under-estimate the challenge of taking on the role of head coach but anyone involved in professional coaching would jump at the chance.”

Campbell’s appointment means he will relinquish his duties with national representative teams.
