Clontarf secured home advantage for the semifinals by overwhelming an understrength St Mary's with an 11-try display at Castle Avenue.

With their pack in outstanding form there was to be no respite for St Mary's as Dave Hewitt, Ben Griffin and Dave Moore all crossed for a brace of tries.

But it was hooker Bernard Jackman who shone the brightest with a hat-trick as Clontarf dominated from start to finish.
