Blackrock avoid shock defeat

Blackrock College 17-11 Gonzaga College

Three tries from left wing Vasya Artemiev in the second half gave Blackrock College the Leinster Schools section C Junior Cup at Donnybrook today.

It looked as though Gonzaga might spring a huge shock as they lead 3-0 at the break.

They lead 11-5 after 45 minutes, following two penalties and a try from captain Simon Murphy, but Artemiev burst through in the 37th, 48th and 53rd minutes for the crucial scores.
