Shannon 19-19 Garryowen

Champions Shannon's hopes of making the semi-finals of the All-Ireland League were dented after they surrendered a 19-point half0time lead to Garryowen at Thomond Park.

Shannon seemed odds-on to win the derby game at the interval having built up a 19 -0 advantage.

The home side scores came from a Colm McMahon try and four penalty goals and a conversion from the boot of Andrew Thompson.

Garryowen were a transformed side after the break and had tries from man-of-the-match Paul Neville, Pat Humphreys and crucially from centre Dermot O'Sullivan with just four minutes remaining.

Killian Keane's conversion assured a share of the spoils in a keenly contested Limerick derby.
