Kempson targetted by South Africa
Ulster prop Robbie Kempson is being courted by SA Rugby officials in a bid to bolster South Africa's recent tight five woes ahead of the Tri-Nations and World Cup, which are to be held later this year.
A Planet Rugby source has revealed that Springbok coach Rudolf Straeuli, who has already had talks with Os du Randt and André Venter, will reportedly be meeting with Kempson over the next few weeks to discuss his international future.
Kempson made his Test debut against Wales in 1998, playing 19 successive Tests for his country before being dropped after the Boks lost to Wales at the opening of the new Millennium Stadium in June 1999.
He was axed from the Tri-Nations squad after the 29-19 loss, missing out on World Cup selection later that year before forcing his way back into the Bok squad in 2000.
