Terenure capped off a spirited performance with a surprise victory over Blackrock in Stradbrook.

Rich Governey impressed kicking 11 points but it was the guile and craft of scrum-half Leigh Kennaugh that swayed the tie for the visitors.

A try by James Ferris put the home side in the lead on the hour but Terenure recovered and ground down a wary Blackrock pack to take an unlikely win.
