Shannon record first win of season

Champions Shannon recorded their first win of the new All-Ireland League season with a 50 points to 9 drubbing of Terenure College at Thomond Park.

Shannon also picked up a precious bonus point after scoring seven splendid tries. Munster star Mossie Lawlor and flying winger Niall McNamara both grabbed a brace of touchdowns in an impressive Shannon performance.

The home side led by 21-9 at the break and four second half tries ensured a vital win for Geoff Moylan's side.

The defeat left Terenure still searching for a first win of the new league season.
