For the second week running, Division One new boys UL Bohemians threatened to shock, but finished with nothing to show for their efforts.

Nevertheless, coach Mike Tewksbury declared himself satisfied with his side's application and willingness to learn.

"We don't want to be seen as the whipping boys of this division, and I don't think we will be after our performances to date," he said.

The Limerick side stunned Dungannon with two tries inside the opening 15 minutes, Coleman Finn diving over on the right, and Keith Matthews scored in the other corner following superb work by fullback Carl Gilligan.

The home side hit back on 22 minutes when their pack finally began to dictate matters and Andrew Hughes got the pushover touchdown.

And on the stroke of half-time they took the lead, Mark Bradley kicking ahead for Mark Armstrong to score in the corner, adding the conversion to his earlier penalty for a 15-12 advantage.

Ian Costello levelled from a penalty, but Armstrong eased his side into a six points lead with two accurate kicks.

But Bohemians grabbed a third try against the run of play in the 63rd minute, wing forward James O'Neill capitalising on a defensive mistake to leave just a point between the sides.

Dungannon wrapped up the points with 10 minutes to play, however, Ryan Constable making the electrifying burst which sent Jan Cunningham away to score.
