Bath lock to face three-man panel

Bath's England second-row Danny Grewcock will discover the length of his suspension at an RFU disciplinary hearing on Tuesday September 17, after being sent off at the weekend for kicking Saracens scrum-half Kyran Bracken in the mouth.

Bracken needed stitches before resuming play during Saracens' 28-3 win, but had insisted that Grewcock - a former flatmate and Saracens colleague - did not intend to cause any damage.

The scrum-half said after the match: "I have spoken to Danny about it and he says he didn't mean to kick me.

"To be honest, when the whole pack falls on you, you can't stay in one position.

"Both of us were pretty worried and I am positive it was an accident. So I would be fully prepared to be a witness for him at a disciplinary hearing."

Grewcock's hearing in Coventry will be before a three-man panel chaired by Richard Moon, also including former England prop Jeff Probyn and Paul Murphy.
