Shannon battled their way to a home draw in the All Ireland League semi-final with a nerveless second-half performance that turned around a 17-08 deficit with three tries by full-back John Lacey and Number 8 David Quinlan.

Terenure held the lead after the first 40 minutes through the accurate goal-kicking of Richard Goberney and tries from scrum-half Kevin Putt and left-wing Sean King.

But Shannon's Tom Cregan got his kicking together in the second half and along with their two tries, eventually ground out a win that sees them into a semi-final with Clontarf.

Ireland flanker Eric Miller, looking decidedly groggy, was forced to leave the field in the 33rd minute and may be a doubt for next Saturday's Six Nations game in France.
