The game was effectively over at half-time as the Dublin side ran in three tries, through Ollie Winchester (two) and James Downey while Jimmy Dempsey was successful with a ninth minute penalty.

The bonus point was bagged early in the second-half after Ben Gissing got the first of his two touchdowns which sandwiched an Alan Dignam try.

Dempsey succeeded with two of his side’s six conversions. Young Munster, who will be

playing Division 2 rugby next season, got two late consolation tries through Clem Casey and Finbar Hogan.
