Gregan rescues Shannon again

Winger Tom Gregan, who contributed 22 points for Shannon last weekend,

again came to their rescue when collecting all their scores through a try

and two penaties at Thomond Park today.

A battling Buccaneers side had given the league leaders a major fright

and Tim Allnut's injury-time try had put them 11-8 in front at the

interval after outhalf Justin Meagher had landed two penalties.

But Cregan kicked the equaliser fifteen minutes into a tightly-contested

second half which saw the home side scramble for a hard-fought point.
