Lansdowne denied Cork Constitution their sixth win on the trot and clinched a deserved draw in a scrappy game at Lansdowne Road.

Cork led 5-8 after 31 minutes when Conor Mahony added a try to Ronan O'Gara's eighth minute penalty.

Lansdowne out-half Alan McGowan scored a try on 15 minutes and added a 40th minute penalty to leave the sides level at the break 8-8.

Three players were sin-binned in a poor second half - back row pair Donncha O'Callaghan and Ken Murphy for Cork and Lansdowne centre Bobby Geraghty.
