The recent renaissance in French rugby has left Italy coach Brad Johnstone wary ahead of tomorrow’s opening Lloyds TSB Six Nations clash at the Stade de France.

After a dismal tournament last season, which saw the once-mighty French finish in fifth place, coach Bernard Laporte took the bull by the horns and made sweeping changes for both the summer tour to South Africa and then the home Tests in the autumn.
