European Shield Rugby: O’Shea toasts ‘magnificent’ win

London Irish rugby director Conor O’Shea today saluted the Exiles’ ‘‘magnificent’’ Parker Pen European Shield quarter-final victory over French challengers Pau.

Irish silenced a vociferous crowd at Stade du Hameau by crushing the 2000 Shield champions 38-9 to join Premiership colleagues Gloucester and Sale in the last four.
