Rugby: Students defeat Lansdowne

In a cracking contest, UCD’s better finishing guaranteed them the points against Lansdowne at headquarters today.

College scrum-half Ryan O’Riordan showcased his talent on an afternoon when he did everything that was expected of him, and more.

His outside break for the only try of the opening half set up a t10-6 interval lead.

Second half-tries from Paddy Hickey-Dwyer, Dermot O’Sullivan and Shane Moore made sure there was clear water between the sides, even though Lansdowne responded with tries of their own from Anthony Ronan and Colin McMahon.
