English out-half, Jonny Wilkinson is said to have a 50-50 chance of playing in next Saturday’s test match against Australia in Sydney.

Wilkinson had to be stretchered off the pitch during last weekend’s test match in Melbourne with a suspected broken leg but it was later revealed that it was just badly bruised. The leg was immediately covered in a plaster cast and the Lion’s team doctor examined the injury today.

Lion’s manager, Donal Lenihan said that Wilkinson has an even chance of making the game. Rob Howley and Richard Hill, who also had to be substituted during last Saturday’s game, have both been ruled out of the rest of the tour.
