Struggling DLSP boosted their survival chances when coming out on top in this dour encounter played at Lakelands Park this afternoon.

Terenure were forced to make do without the services of former Lions flanker, Eric Miller, who was withdrawn by the Leinster Team doctors at the last minute.

And with contracted players, Girvan Dempsey and Rory Sherriff also missing, Terenure came out a clear second best to their oppponents.

DLSP led 13-3 at the break with a Kenny Wheelock try and eight points from the boot of centre, Damien Mc Cabe.

And although Richard Governey cut the arrears with a penalty after the break, DLSP then countered with their second try of the game when right wing, Brian Hogan scored in the corner after being released by Simon O' Donnell
