Andy Nicol returns from an ankle injury to reclaim the scrum-half berth and will be captain.

James McLaren is preferred to Alan Bulloch at centre while in the front row, Gordon Bulloch comes in for the injured Steve Brotherstone, while Mattie Stewart replaces George Graham.

Winger Kenny Logan will win his 50th cap during the Stade de France encounter.
