Anthony Foley has never been one to shirk a battle throughout his illustrious career and he isn’t going to start now.

Although relegated to second place in the Munster pecking order by the arrival of Rassie Erasmus as director of rugby, Foley still retains the title of head coach and is working away as earnestly and honestly as ever before.

Deep down, you believe he has to be smarting at how things have worked out for him but his dedication to the Munster cause hasn’t diminished — an attitude and approach he made perfectly clear when facing the media for the first time this season.
