Hooker Duncan Casey returns from a lengthy lay-off and starts Munster A’s clash with Ulster Ravens today in Naas (3pm).

Casey returns for his first action since November after rupturing his pectoral muscle against Treviso in Thomond Park. Munster A head coach Mick O’Driscoll has also named fellow squad members Gerhard van den Heever, Cian Bohane, Peter McCabe, and Jordan Coghlan in the starting line-up with Bohane captaining the side.

There are eight Academy players in the first XV with Brian Scott, Sean McCarthy, Ben Kilkenny, Conor Oliver, Gearóid Lyons, Alex Wootton, Dan Goggin and David Johsnton all included. Meanwhile Ulster have announced that Brett Herron will be joining the province from Bath and that Ireland U20 star Johnny McPhillips has been upgraded to a development contract.
