Kim Flood and Liz Burke will earn their first caps in a back three which sees Alison Miller return to the 15s game after a stint with the Sevens.
One result of all that is the move of captain Niamh Briggs to centre alongside Sene Naoupu.
Nikki Caughey, another Sevens player, comes back in at out-half. Scrum-half Mary Healy will be making her first Six Nations start, Lindsay Peat earns her first Ireland start at loose-head prop and Munster’s Elaine Anthony will make her Six Nations debut in the second row.
The bench will provide reserves of experience.
“We’ve made a number of changes this week and this is to allow players the opportunity to show us what they can do, and no better place to do it than at home in Donnybrook,” said Tierney.
