International centre Luke Marshall is likely to start as an emergency fly-half when Ulster play the Ospreys in the Guinness Pro12 opener at the Kingspan Stadium tomorrow night.

With Paddy Jackson World Cup-bound, Ian Humphreys sidelined with a hamstring injury and new number 10 recruit Sam Windsor also a regular visitor this week to the physio room, Marshall could be call to fill a role he last played in his early days at Ballymena Academy.

Prop Callum Black and number eight Roger Wilson are also out for a few weeks yet, although Nick Williams has now served his ban from last season and is available for the game.
