O’Donnell ‘knew’ Keatley would deliver

Munster flanker Tommy O’Donnell never doubted Ian Keatley’s ability to land the last-gasp penalty which salvaged what could yet be a crucial bonus point in one of the most difficult pools in the history of the competition.

Having three teams who reached the semi-finals in each of the last two years was always going to ensure that every single point would be battled for.

Keatley’s long range effort could yet be invaluable when the pool concludes next month and O’Donnell felt it was never going anywhere than between the posts.
