Flying start inspires Bandon
The Cork school could be serious contenders when the big guns enter the competition in January.
Bandon had this game wrapped up after 11 minutes as Eamon Barrett, Gavin Coombes, David Jennings and Garry Pringle scored tries and Luke Kingston added two conversions for a 24-0 lead.
Micky O’Shea was unlucky with a long-range penalty for the Clare side minutes later, as Charlie Massie and Ger McMahon brought off some big tackles as the Bandon pack dominated.
A try from Bryan Murphy converted by Kingston left it 31-0 at the interval and further tries from Jennings and Bobby Smith and a Kingston conversion completed the scoring.
