O’Halloran says Connacht gunning for Munster scalp

Connacht winger Tiernan O’Halloran says that securing what would be only a second victory over Munster in the professional era would be a great way to start bringing the curtain down on an indifferent season.

O’Halloran had not yet arrived on the scene when Connacht beat Munster 12-6 in December 2008 — their only win over the Reds since 1986.

“It would be massive to beat them,” says the 23-year-old, who has made 66 appearances for Connacht. “We are obviously very disappointed with the Ulster display but we had four very good displays on the trot prior to that.
