Sale of land moves Musgrave Park development plan closer

Munster have had planning permission approved by Cork City Council since September for a new, 3,000-seat West Stand and the covering of the East Terrace at Musgrave Park but were waiting for the sale of a plot of land on the east side of the grounds to part-finance the project in addition to a National Lottery grant and existing capital development funds.

A contract for the plot of land’s sale has now been provisionally agreed, though it is subject to the prospective purchaser being granted planning permission.
