The Munster hooker was among the players who have avoided contracting a stomach bug in Canada as coach Less Kiss attempts to name his team tonight despite question marks over a number of players’ involvement.

Neither of Sherry’s rivals for the No 2 jersey were able to train on Tuesday, nor were Tommy O’Donnell, Devin Toner, Dave Kilcoyne, Iain Henderson and Stuart Olding, while as expected Chris Henry sat it out with a facial injury. Last night, however, the Irish management confirmed all of the players recovering from a stomach bug will train today.
