Kearney on the mend

Leinster’s Dave Kearney admitted last night he was ‘feeling a lot better’ after suffering a sickening blow to the head in the province’s RaboDirect Pro12 victory over Munster at Thomond Park.

Kearney was stretchered off the pitch after sustaining a sickening kick from Paul O’Connell in the second-half, and is understood to have suffered concussion.

The Louth man last night took to Twitter (@kearney_dave) to say: “Thanks 2 everybody for their kind msgs of concern!Feeling a lot better today.Grt 2 get the win down in Thomond.serious support as per usual!”
