Prendergast takes coaching role at France’s Grenoble

Former Munster scrum-half Mike Prendergast has become the latest Irish coach to head abroad after taking up a position with Grenoble in France.

The Young Munster coach has been appointed skills coach with the Top14 side and will join Grenoble during the summer, where former Irish hooker Bernard Jackman is defence coach.

Prendergast, who made 48 appearances in his two spells with Munster, has experience of the French league having spent a season with Bourgoin, while he also played with Gloucester in England. The 35-year old guided Young Munster to promotion to Division 1A in the All-Ireland League in his first season as player/coach.
