We bottled it, says dejected O’Callaghan

Donncha O’Callaghan admitted the Irish players “bottled it” in their spectacular collapse against Scotland at Murrayfield yesterday.

Though much of the post-match ire was directed at coach Declan Kidney, O’Callaghan stressed that those on the field of battle who somehow managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

A downbeat O’Callaghan tried to get to grips with the dismal mood and figured ultimately Scotland’s only claim on victory came via their dogged approach in the face of huge pressure.
