French Top 14 club Racing Metro continue to distance themselves from strong indications in Ireland that a deal has been agreed with Leinster fly-half Jonny Sexton, with club president Jacky Lorenzetti suggesting yesterday he was negotiating with another international fly-half.

Yesterday’s edition of L’Equipe said Lorenzetti had changed his tune over the Leinster stand-off, mainly it seems because of Sexton’s financial demands.

“The chase is certainly warming up,” said Lorenzetti. “The player’s financial demands have come down. But I haven’t signed anything. We are also in discussion with another international player.”
