Munster wait on Botha tighthead prop ruling

Munster expect to learn early next week whether they will be able to retain tighthead prop BJ Botha beyond this summer.

The former South African Test front rower is outof contract at the end of the season having joined Munster on a two-year deal from Ulster in 2011.

The province want Botha, 33, to extend his stay but his non-Irish eligible status means their case to re-sign the tighthead must be assessed by the IRFU.
