Cronin talks up Scarlets threat as crunch looms

Sean Cronin’s future beyond the current campaign has been decided but the Irish international hooker has yet to reveal whether he will be staying put with Leinster or returning to Connacht for a second stint.

The 26-year old was emphatic prior to Christmas when asked about his future, stating his preference for a new contract with the reigning European champions, but it will be a number of weeks before details of the new deal are announced.

For now, the focus is Scarlets this Saturday. Nothing more, nothing less. Eleven of the Heineken Cup’s 24 sides still stand a chance of making the knockout stages but none are so slim as that of the reigning champions.
