Injuries dog Pumas ahead of Aviva Test

Argentina arrived in Dublin last night for their Test with Ireland facing further injury worries following their defeat by France on Saturday.

The Pumas lost 39-22 in Lille and lost Bath wing Horacio Agulla into the bargain when he suffered concussion late in the match.

Argentina, who beat Wales in Cardiff two weeks ago, have also ruled out full-back Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino and tight-head prop Juan Figallo and were already without veteran playmaker Felipe Contepomi.

Head coach Santiago Phelan yesterday called Montpellier’s fly-half Santiago Fernandez and prop Maximiliano Bustos into his 29-man squad for this Saturday’s clash at the Aviva Stadium.
