Munster, to their credit, battled hard to stay in the contest, but Leinster, with something like 60 per cent of possession, were full value for the win that saw them outscore their southern rivals by three tries to one.

The home side struggled to contain the Leinster maul and they had some difficulty in the scrum as well, albeit on a lesser scale. They did have some strong displays from the likes of Toby Admakin, Richard Kingston and Isaac Daly around the field, while full back Dylan Cadogan made some strong surging runs.
