Trimble savours ‘favourite ever moment’ in white jersey

Ireland wing Andrew Trimble hailed Ulster’s defensive effort in thwarting Edinburgh and delivering his “favourite ever moment” in the famous white jersey.

Trimble, one of his province’s longest servants and a hero of the run to a first Heineken Cup final since 1999, was toasting a win which came despite a below-par performance from his team.

“That’s my favourite ever moment in an Ulster shirt by a long way. It’s very special and now we have a Heineken Cup Final to look forward to, so it doesn’t get any more special than that,” Trimble said.
