Munster duo sign new deals

Keith Earls’ eventful month continued yesterday with the confirmation that he and Denis Leamy have signed contracts with the IRFU that will keep them at Munster for a further two yearsuntil 2014.

The news follows on from Paul O’Connell’s decision last month to commit to the province until the same point in time while a raft of other senior internationals put pen to paper to keep them with their provinces in 2011.

Earls, who recently celebrated the birth of his first child, returned to training with the Ireland squad at Carton House yesterday while Leamy is currently recovering from hip surgery which ruled him out of the Six Nations.

“I’m excited about getting back in with the Ireland squad this week and hopefully getting the chance to play against France,” said Earls.

“I’m really happy to get my contract completed. Munster has been my only home as a player and growing up only a few hundred yards from Thomond Park, it was always a dream to play for them and to represent Ireland, so I’m delighted to remain a Munster player.”
